Question 1

How does the friend-lock work?

Accepted Answer

A friend sets and holds the password and arms a block for a set number of hours. You never see the password, so you cannot unlock on your own.

Question 2

What if I delete the app to get around a block?

Accepted Answer

It does not work. An active block is reinstall-proof: it is backed by the server and an OS backstop, so deleting and reinstalling does not reset it.

Question 3

What are the three lock modes?

Accepted Answer

A timer or schedule block, a friend-armed block for X hours, and a detox to-do gate that keeps apps locked until today's habits are done.

Question 4

Can my friend see my data?

Accepted Answer

No. A friend only arms and holds the lock. They do not see your screens, messages, or usage.

Question 5

Is it free?

Accepted Answer

Yes, free on iOS and Android at launch.

Question 6

What languages is it in?

Accepted Answer

The app ships in English, Spanish, French, and German.
