Who we are

Atomic Blocker is made by Principle Socials s.r.o. (company ID 57782431, Želovce, Slovakia), the data controller for the app and this website. Questions or requests: hello@principlesocials.com.

The short version

You don't create an account. The app signs you in anonymously. Which apps you block is handled by Apple's Screen Time and never leaves your phone. We don't sell your data. Free users see ads from Google AdMob, only after the consent choices required where you live.

What we collect and why

  • Anonymous account ID (Firebase Authentication). Links your data to your install so locks, streaks and purchases survive an app restart or reinstall.
  • Onboarding answers: optional first name, age range, gender, daily screen time, what bothers you, what you've tried, your goal, and how you heard about us. Used to personalise the app and to understand which channels bring people in.
  • App usage: locks you start and finish (mode, duration, timing), streaks, schedules, habit lists and post-lock reflections. Used to run the app and show your history.
  • Friend lock: the password your friend sets stays on your device. We store only a salted one-way hash so the lock can still be opened after a reinstall.
  • Analytics and crash reports (Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics): app interactions, device and app version, crash traces. Used to fix bugs and improve the app. On iOS we also record whether the install came from an Apple Ads campaign (campaign identifiers only, from Apple's AdServices, no tracking prompt needed).
  • Purchases: subscription status (product, expiry, renewal state). Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your card details.
  • Ads (free version): Google AdMob may use device identifiers and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland you choose first via Google's consent form; on iOS the advertising identifier is used only if you allow tracking in Apple's prompt. Pro has no ads.

Screen Time data

Atomic Blocker uses Apple's Family Controls (Screen Time) to block apps. Your app selection and usage stay on your device as opaque Apple tokens. We cannot see which apps you picked or how you use them, and this data is never used for advertising.

Legal bases (GDPR)

Running the app and your subscription: performance of a contract. Analytics, crash reports and product improvement: legitimate interest. Personalised ads and tracking: your consent, which you can withdraw anytime (app Settings > ad privacy choices, and iOS Settings > Privacy > Tracking).

Who processes it

Google (Firebase: our database is in the EU; some server functions run in the US), Google AdMob (ads), Google Play (Android purchases), Apple (App Store purchases and Apple Ads attribution). Transfers outside the EU rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

As long as you use the app. Ask us to delete it anytime at hello@principlesocials.com with your Atomic Blocker ID (app Settings > user id); we delete it within 30 days. Backups roll off after 7 days. Purchase records may be kept longer where tax law requires.

Your rights

You can access, correct, delete or export your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent. You can also complain to the Slovak data protection authority (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov SR) or your local authority.

Children

Atomic Blocker is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We'll update this page when the app changes how it handles data, with a new date at the top.
